On Patrol: Operation Victor Course

Queensland police and Translink officers continue to target and disrupt anti-social behaviour on public transport during peak travel periods as part of ongoing public safety blitz Operation Victor Course.

The high-visibility policing was established in April 2023 to enhance community safety across south-east Queensland busways including the Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan and Moreton regions.

Operation Victor Course focuses on targeted wanding at bus interchanges in high traffic locations, street checks and engaging with bus drivers, business owners and members of the public.

In this episode of On Patrol, officers from North Gateway Patrol Group conducted Operation Victor Course duties at the Chermside bus interchange.

The safety response targeted nearby late-night shopping, where there is a high volume of people, particularly young people, coming on and off buses.

These operations aim to prevent, disrupt and deter anti-social and criminal behaviour, while supporting the safety of commuters and transport staff.
