Palace Cinemas is delighted to announce that St Kilda’s iconic Astor Theatre will be screening the most eagerly anticipated release of the year, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood, on stunning 35mm film for a limited season starting August 15.
A tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s Golden Age and featuring a knock-out cast including Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt, and Australia’s Margot Robbie and Damon Herriman, Tarantino’s ninth film has been hailed his most accomplished and visionary yet, and The Astor’s pristine 35mm projection will allow audiences to see this magnum opus just the way the director intended.
In celebration of the special release, The Astor, one of Australia’s last remaining classic picture palaces, will also be transformed into a lush 1960s Los Angeles haven, offering themed combos ‘The Hollywood Classics’ – Feature-sized Popcorn & 4 Pines Beer or Feature-sized Popcorn & Prosecco – during the film’s run.
An essential cinema experience for Tarantino devotees and general film-lovers alike, the opportunity to see this instant classic in The Astor’s classic surroundings is strictly limited to a four-week season.
Tickets are on sale now for week one sessions – Thursday August 15 – to Wednesday August 21, 10.15am, 1.45pm, 5.00pm and 8.15pm.
