A man has died, and a second man is in a critical condition following a public place shooting in Sydney’s south west today.
About 8.55am (Wednesday 20 October 2021), emergency services were called to Osgood Street near Woodville Road, Guildford, after reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command located a vehicle with two men inside.
One of the men died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified. The second man is being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and reported to be in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
Numerous police resources are conducting inquiries into the incident.
