Quotes from Chief Minister Michael Gunner:

“It’s just one week to go until Territorians can embark on a mouth-watering food tour across the Territory, tasting the most delicious and unusual laksa-inspired dishes and drinks.

“It’s great to see so many entries from the regions this year, which will help boost trade and encourage foot traffic to local traders.

“This festival is about the food – but it’s also all about supporting jobs, and choosing to buy local, especially during the wet season.”

Quotes from Minister for Small Business Paul Kirby:

“We know Territorians love the Laksa Festival and it has generated more foot traffic for our businesses in the Darwin CBD, during months that are usually much quieter.

“The Food Tour has encouraged people to eat out and pick up a takeaway, which has kept trade ticking over as well as inspiring unique new laksa concoctions for locals and visitors to taste.”
