ONE YEAR LATER: Labor has ditched all their policies

Michael Ferguson,Leader of the House

  • One year later Labor doesn’t have a single policy to speak about
  • One year later Rebecca White finally realised she lost the election and backflipped on her signature policy
  • One year later David O’Byrne’s leadership aspirations have been given a huge boost

A year after the 2018 election, the only thing the Labor Party has achieved is to ditch all of its policies and create mass confusion about what they stand for.

The Labor Opposition under Rebecca White is a shambles with no policy platform and no values. Ms White’s ongoing attempts to avoid taking any position on tough issues are a running joke, and Opposition members regularly contradict their leader and each other because they have no idea what they stand for other than criticising the Government.

The only notable achievement of the Labor Opposition in the last year was the record amount of times they voted with the Greens in Parliament.

While Tasmania’s economy continues to grow and the Liberal Government delivers on our agenda, the Labor Party is wholly focussed on whingeing, cheap stunts. It’s clear from their political side show that they have nothing of any substance to contribute on the issues that matter to Tasmanians.
