Online Community Workshop – Mildura Public Open Space Strategy

Mildura Rural City Council residents are encouraged to take part in an online Community Workshop this week to provide suggestions for Council’s Mildura Public Open Space Strategy.

The workshop will be held this Thursday 13 August starting at 6pm via Zoom. Residents are also able to provide input via an online survey.

For details on how to register for this Thursday’s Community Workshop, or to take the online survey, visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay. The survey is open until Sunday 30 August.

Work is currently under way in partnership with the Tredwell group to update the Mildura Public Open Space Strategy, which will guide the future management of public open space in our region.

High-quality public open space plays an important part in the community’s overall health and well-being, and includes publicly accessible parks, reserves and natural areas that are managed by Council for the purpose of recreation, conservation, and amenity or landscape enhancement.

Regular visitors to these types of open spaces are invited to complete the short online survey or take part in this week’s workshop to share how they use these spaces, how often they visit, and how they would like to see these spaces used in the future.

This might include exercise, pet spaces, playgrounds or meeting up with friends and family.
