Operation Generate underway on public transport network

The NSW Police Force has today launched an ongoing operation on the NSW public transport network.

Operation Generate is a Police Transport and Public Safety Command initiative formed to enhance commuter safety on the public transport network.

As the operation is now underway, police are appealing for public assistance in relation to an alleged offence which occurred on the route 433 bus – travelling between Forest Lodge and Balmain – around 6:20pm on Thursday 2 March 2023.

Officers attached to the Police Transport and Public Safety Command have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As investigations continue, police have released CCTV vision of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, thin build, 180cm tall, and has numerous tattoos on both arms and his left leg.

He was wearing black sunglasses, a grey coloured t-shirt, black football shorts and white shoes with a blue ‘Nike’ tick.
