Sunraysia motorsport clubs and groups are invited to submit expressions of interest for a place on the Mildura Regional Motorsport Alliance.

The Alliance is a formal committee comprising representatives of local motorsport clubs and other bodies which will sit within and drive the broader Mildura Regional Motorsport Strategy.

Mildura Mayor Liam Wood said the Alliance will for the first time unite local motorsport clubs under the one banner, providing opportunities for shared ideas and resources and a stronger and more coordinated approach to growing motorsport in the region.

“The Alliance will serve two important roles,” the Mayor said.

“At this point in development of the strategy, which has now been completed in draft form, it will guide the direction of the final document, along with the plethora of information which has already been gathered this year.

“Once the strategy is in place, the Alliance will continue to drive coordinated growth of motorsport in the region, providing recommendations to Council and other government bodies relating to economic outcomes, infrastructure development and community participation in motorsport.”

The Alliance will meet every two months once established.
