Former rugby league player Anthony Mundine has called for non-Aboriginal players to join their indigenous teammates and remain silent in an anthem protest during the State of Origin series opener tomorrow, saying Advance Australia Fair does not represent Indigenous people.
Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi says that’s demonstrating a double standard.
Senator Bernardi has told Paul Murray Live on Sky News calls to change the anthem are just another virtue signalling device to further divide Australians.
