Our Ways Strong Together is proud to welcome seven more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations as members of the national peak body.
The following organisations have been accepted as members:
- First Nations Women’s Legal Service QLD, Queensland
- Budja Budja Aboriginal Co-Op, Victoria
- Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre, New South Wales
- Yorgum Healing Service, Western Australia
- We Care NSW, New South Wales
- Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service, New South Wales
- Maranguka, New South Wales
New members bring further legal, health, healing and justice reinvestment expertise to the network, reflecting the breadth of the community-controlled sector working to prevent family, domestic and sexual violence.
Launched in March 2026, Our Ways Strong Together is the national community-controlled peak body representing members delivering services across the family, domestic and sexual violence sector.
Membership is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations (ACCOs) that provide family, domestic and sexual violence services or support, either as their primary purpose or as part of broader service delivery.
Now with a collective 45 member services nationally, CEO Olga Havnen AM said the new members strengthen a growing national network.
“Every new member adds to the strength and reach of this network. Aboriginal community-controlled organisations have been doing this work for generations, and the more of that expertise we bring together, the stronger the case we can make for the investment and policy change communities need.”
