Our Ways Strong Together Welcomes Ten New Members

Our Ways Strong Together

Our Ways Strong Together is proud to welcome ten more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations as members of the national peak body.

The following organisations have been accepted as members:

  • Mens Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation, Western Australia
  • Aboriginal Resource Development Services (ARDS), Northern Territory
  • Central Queensland Indigenous Development, Queensland
  • Aboriginal and Islander Development and Recreational Womens Association (AIDRWA), Queensland
  • Helem Yumba, Queensland
  • MARABISDA, Queensland
  • Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation, Western Australia
  • Yalu’ Marngithinyaraw, Northern Territory
  • Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan, Queensland
  • First Nation Women’s Gathering Limited, Queensland

New members bring further men’s behaviour-change, crisis accommodation, healing, family support, language and cultural knowledge, and maternal health expertise to the network, reflecting the breadth of the community-controlled sector working to prevent family, domestic and sexual violence.

Launched in March 2026, Our Ways Strong Together is the national community-controlled peak body representing members delivering services across the family, domestic and sexual violence sector.

Membership is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations (ACCOs) that provide family, domestic and sexual violence services or support, either as their primary purpose or as part of broader service delivery.

Now with a collective 55 member services nationally, CEO Olga Havnen AM said the new members strengthen a growing national network.

“Every one of these organisations already carries deep trust in their own community. Bringing that experience into a national network means governments and funders hear directly from the people doing this work every day.”

Meet the organisations behind the network on the Our Ways Strong Together website.
