We’ve partnered with local businesses and trader associations to enable more outdoor dining across Boroondara. By fast tracking permit applications and waiving all Council permit fees, we’re helping businesses to take dining to the streets over the summer months ahead.
So far, we’ve installed parklets in 29 locations. This supports approximately 52 businesses to extend their outdoor dining space across some of our major shopping precincts including:
- Glenferrie Road
- Camberwell Junction
- Auburn Village
- Ashburton
- Greythorn
- Balwyn North.
Parklets are temporary spaces for outdoor dining built out in car parking bays. They’re made safe with fencing, traffic safety barriers and planters.
