Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a grass fire burning near De Castella Road, The Palms. This fire broke out about 12:30pm. Firefighters are currently working to contain the blaze. Smoke may affect the area throughout the afternoon and into the evening, so residents should close windows and doors, and keep their respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents think their property is under threat, they should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
