Parental Expert to Address Youth Issues at Free Seminar in Lennox Head

Dr Justin Coulson, Australia’s leading parental expert, will speak at a free seminar about ‘Building Youth Resilience’ on Monday 27 June 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre, providing strategies and tools to improve the wellbeing of young people.

“This free event is for all members of our community that either work with, mentor, raise or parent children,” said Sam Stewart, CEO Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association.

The Lennox Head father-of-three is working together with like-minded individuals, charities and health organisations such as The Healthy Minds Club, The Boaty Boys, Le-Ba Boardriders Club and The Ball and All to create awareness and bring the community together to provide better outcomes for our youth.

“We just want to help provide parents with strategies and tools to improve the happiness and wellbeing of their kids and couldn’t be happier about securing Dr Justin Coulson for this event,” said Mr Stewart.

“Justin is a father of six children and a great communicator who can really simplify the complexity of issues faced by our community. Justin’s message is powerful, simple and strong. He is certainly one of the best experts in his field and I am sure people will get a lot of value from listening to him.”

Dr Justin Coulson said Australian communities are struggling when it comes to issues and challenges facing young people and their mental health.

“There are significant issues in the decline of mental health and resilience. As parents and carers, there are things we can do to bolster, reinforce and create strong foundations for their wellbeing and their resilience,” said Dr Coulson.

“We can help them to grow into themselves, figure out who they are and develop strong, healthy and vital identities. I am really looking forward to coming to Lennox Head and having this crucial community conversation around what we can do to support our youth.”
