PaSCE have been busy finalising second semester education after an eventful first semester delivering palliative care education across the Perth metropolitan area and throughout regional Western Australia.
Some of our first semester highlights include:
National Advance Care Planning Week & National Palliative Care Week
We participated in National Advance Care Planning Week and National Palliative Care Week, hosting pop-up information and education stands across hospitals in Perth Metro, including Royal Perth, Fiona Stanley and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals.
It was great to interact with the public and health care professionals and to showcase the vast array of education PaSCE has to offer.
RACEPC Communicate
RACEPC Communicate launched the first of three series of the General Practitioner and Nurse Practitioner virtual education, including two three-hour immersive simulation-based workshops. Our Facility Challenge is being rolled out and preparation is underway for our second symposium.
PEPA/IPEPA
PEPA and IPEPA have been busy educating health professionals across WA the past few months with a focus on educating General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Professionals and Aged Care staff. You will see us rolling out educational workshops in Perth, Albany, Kununurra and Broome in the upcoming months with clinical placements also available to all health professionals.
PEPA received incredible feedback from a recent Reverse PEPA Placement from the Ocean Star Village Bunbury team. Team Leader Hayley Bettink (Clinical Nurse) said the team thoroughly enjoyed the interactive, informative and overall enjoyable training provided and couldn’t wait to share the knowledge with the rest of the team to help provide the best possible palliative care experience for all current and future residents and loved ones at Ocean Star.
