Pedestrian critically injured in crash in Colyton

A man remains in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west tonight.

About 9pm (Tuesday 11 June 2019), emergency services were called to the intersection of Bennett Road and the Great Western Highway at Colyton, following reports a man had been hit by a Honda Accord.

On arrival, officers found a 63-year-old man suffering serious head injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The Honda driver, a 73-year-old male, was uninjured and taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene that is being forensically examined.

Bennett Road remains closed, between the Great Western Highway and Brooker Street, as inquiries into the crash continue.
