Pedestrian Dies After Balwyn North Collision

A man has died following a collision in Balwyn North last month.

Emergency services were called to reports after a vehicle stuck a pedestrian on Burke Road about 6.05pm on 30 June.

It is understood the pedestrian was walking southbound on the footpath outside a petrol station while a Tesla was exiting the business.

The pedestrian, a 79-year-old Thornbury man, was taken to hospital with critical injures.

He has since passed away.

The driver and sole occupant of the Tesla, a 51-year-old Reservoir man, remained at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
