Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Cyclist At Moree

A man has died after being struck by a cyclist in Moree yesterday.

About 12.15pm (Wednesday 7 October 2026), emergency services were called to Heber Street, Moree, after reports an 82-year-old man was struck by a bicycle.

The cyclist left the scene before the arrival of police.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious head injuries before being taken to Moree Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to New England Police District commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, about 2.30am today (Thursday 8 October 2026), police were notified the 82-year-old man had died in hospital.
