Pedestrian hit by car in North Sydney

A pedestrian is in a serious condition after a crash in Sydney’s north today.

Just after 12.30pm (Saturday 14 May 2022), emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway, North Sydney, after reports a car hit a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a 46-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore hospital in a serious condition.

The driver – a 59-year-old male – was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Traffic diversions are in place, as a crime scene has been established which is being examined by officers from Crash Investigation Unit.
