Police are currently at the scene of a serious rail crash at Hawthorn.
Just after 6pm on Sunday 30 June, police and emergency services were called to a railway pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Egmont Terrace and Sussex Terrace after pedestrian was struck by a train.
Motorists are advised that Cross Road, Hilda Terrace/Sussex Terrace and Angus Road railway crossings are closed. Please avoid the area.
Belair line trains are currently not running between Adelaide and Mitcham. Train services are continuing to operate between Mitcham and Belair.
