Police are appealing for witnesses after a child was seriously injured at Browns Plains yesterday afternoon (April 21).
About 5.45pm, a family were crossing Browns Plains Road when the boy has run ahead into on coming traffic.
A truck travelling east on Browns Plains Road towards Crestmead locked the brakes to avoid the child, when the truck has clipped the boy, then collided with a tree.
A 2-year-old boy was transported to the Queensland Children’s hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the truck was uninjured during the incident.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for any witnesses who were travelling along that section of the Browns Plains Road, or anyone who may have dash cam vision to please contact police.
