Pedestrian injured at Parramatta, NSW

A man has been hospitalised after being hit by a car at Parramatta tonight.

Emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, about 5.30pm (Friday 31 May 2019), after reports a man had been hit by a Toyota Corolla whilst crossing the road.

The pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

The Toyota driver, a 22-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
