Northern Territory Police are investigating after 2 people were struck by a vehicle in Bees Creek this morning.
At 5:20am, police received reports that a vehicle struck the man and woman on Bees Creek Road as they were walking their 2 dogs. The man suffered minor injuries while the woman suffered serious injuries and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a critical condition.
Both dogs were found deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and returned a negative breath test for alcohol.
A crime scene has been declared and the Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash. Traffic diversions currently remain in place along Bees Creek Road and are expected to remain until later today.
