Accreditation to train basic physician trainees has been reinstated at Bathurst Health Service.
The Western NSW Local Health District welcomes the announcement that accreditation to train basic physician trainees at Bathurst Health Service has been reinstated.
Chief Executive of the WNSWLHD, Mark Spittal, said our team has worked with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) to restore the accreditation at Bathurst, which is a key facility in the network of services offered across the region.
“We are now working with the Royal Prince Alfred and Nepean Basic Physician Training Networks to attract physician trainees back to Bathurst with the August rotation, and are committed to ensuring future specialists training in Bathurst have the best possible experience while they are here,” Mr Spittal said.
“Receiving accreditation from the College for the next four years is a testament to their hard work and willingness to address any concerns that the College may previously have had. All of our staff and physicians have put in a huge effort and given a great deal of time and commitment to achieve this outcome.
“We are all committed to making Bathurst a great place for health professionals to live. This is a whole community effort and we look forward to working with the wider Bathurst community to welcome trainees back to the hospital”.
