Physiotherapist charged over sexual touching of a woman at Ryde, NSW

A man has been charged after allegedly sexually touching a woman during an appointment in Sydney’s north west last week.

Around 10am on Wednesday 13 May 2020, a 28-year-old woman attended an appointment at the clinic in Blaxland Road, Ryde.

Police will allege in court that during this treatment, the male physiotherapist touched the woman sexually, without her consent.

The woman reported the matter to police. Officers from Ryde Police Area Command took carriage of the matter and continued the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, investigators executed a search warrant at the Ryde clinic about 9am yesterday (Wednesday 20 May 2020).

A 37-year-old-man from Chatswood was arrested at the scene and taken to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with sexually touching another person without consent.

He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday 10 August 2020.
