Police appeal after armed robbery in Pyrmont

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted and robbed in Pyrmont earlier this month.

About 11.45pm on Thursday 3 February 2022, a 32-year-old man was walking along Quarry Master Drive when he was struck on the back of his head by an unknown male.

The unknown male continued to punch the man to the head, before threatening him with a knife and demanding he hand over his belongings.

The unknown male fled the scene with headphones, cash, a wallet, and a number of cards.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV footage of a male they wish to speak to.

He is described as being of African appearance, of slim build, about 182cm tall. He is depicted wearing black jeans and a dark coloured hoodie, and face mask. He is seen in the vision walking down Miller Street, Pyrmont.
