Police appeal after bag snatch in Cabramatta

Police investigating a robbery in Cabramatta last week have released images seeking public assistance to help identify a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

About 10:40am on Monday 4 February 2019, a woman left a temple on Gladstone Street, Cabramatta when a man approached her from behind and attempted to take her handbag.

The woman fell to the ground and was dragged a short distance by the man before she let go.

The man fled on foot and was last seen running along Gladstone Street, Cabramatta.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, dtectives want to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, approximately 40 years old, 178 cm tall, with a solid build and short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing an army style ‘cammo’ singlet, and dark grey shorts.
