Police appeal for information after robbery at Junee

Police are appealing for information, following a robbery in the State’s Riverina, earlier this month.

Some time between 10.30pm and 11pm on Monday 8 January 2024, two teenage boys were walking along Broadway Street, near the intersection of Crawley Street, Junee, when they were approached by four people.

The two teens, aged 17 and 16, were reportedly threatened with a knife, before the group demanded they handover their mobile phones, portable speaker and a pair of sneakers.

The group fled and were last seen running down Crawley Street.

Police were notified and officers attached to Riverina Police District responded and commenced an investigation.

All four people are believed to be male, and all were wearing dark clothing

As part of inquiries, police established tyres were slashed on two vehicles parked on Clarence Street, Junee, sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm, that night.

Police are investigating whether the incidents are linked.
