Police appeal for information following suspicious car fire – Roselands

Shortly before 1am today (Monday 29 June 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle alight in Stoddart Street, Roselands.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended, alongside Fire and Rescue NSW, who found a Mercedes SUV fully engulfed in fire in the driveway of a home.

The fire was extinguished; however, the vehicle was completely destroyed.

A Toyota Hilux parked on the street was also doused in fuel and sustained minor damage.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident, which is believed to be targeted.
