Police appeal for information: Property thefts, Sunshine Coast

Police have released an image of a distinctive vehicle and a man who may be able to assist with investigations into multiple property thefts on the Sunshine Coast in mid-late April.

Between Thursday April 20 and Wednesday April 26, a man driving a white early-mid 2000s Holden Rodeo single cab tray-back utility attended several businesses within industrial estates on Progress Road in Maroochydore and Kelly Court, Wises Road and Glen Kyle Drive in Buderim where hundreds of litres of petrol was siphoned from vehicles and attempted burglaries occurred.

The Rodeo, missing its bumper and with other front end damage and bearing false Queensland registration plates was driven from these locations with several drums of fuel atop a stolen trailer which was located abandoned at a nearby business.

Between Monday April 24-Tuesday April 25, the same vehicle was driven to an Industrial Place, Yandina business where a bobcat with a distinctive ‘posi-track’ wheel mechanism was taken, along with a multi-axel trailer; both remain outstanding.

The man has a slim build and was wearing a white t-shirt with black ‘ECKO’ motif, a black cap, shorts and shoes. He has dark facial hair, including a moustache.
