Police appeal to locate boy missing from Mount Druitt

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a boy missing from the Sydney’s west.

Vulu Tanuka, aged 9, was last seen leaving a sports centre on Mount Street, Mount Druitt, about 5.30pm yesterday (Saturday 9 December 2023).

When he was unable to be located, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold serious concerns for Vulu’s welfare due to both his age and yesterday’s heatwave.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 145cm tall, thin build, with brown eyes and a dark brown mullet hairstyle.

Vulu was last seen wearing black and grey swimming shorts and green croc shoes.

He is known to frequent the Inner West, Tregear and Mount Druitt areas.

Anyone with information into Vulu’s whereabouts is urged to contact Mount Druitt Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
