Police appeal to locate child missing from Broken Hill

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a boy missing from the state’s Far West.

Landon Bennets, aged five, was last leaving a house on Wilcannia Street, Menindee, about 7.30pm on Thursday 13 April 2023 in the company of his mother, 41-year-old Heidi Nation.

He has been reported missing to officers from Barrier Police District, who commenced immediate inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare.

Landon is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 120cm tall, of thin build, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Heidi is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 165cm tall, medium build, fair complexion, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Police believe Landon may be in the Broken Hill area.

Anyone who may have seen Landon or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Broken Hill Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
