Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney’s south.
Ashleigh Afele, aged 12, was last seen in Mortdale, about 7.30am today (Saturday 8 August 2026).
When she was unable to located or contacted, officers attached to St George Police Area Command were notified and immediately commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police hold serious concerns for Ashleigh’s welfare due to her age.
She is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 160cm tall, of slim build, with long brown hair and brown eyes.
Ashleigh was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black tracksuit pants and white shoes.
She is known to frequent the Kingsgrove area.
