Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Hunter region.
Stephen Hanks, aged 57, was last seen in East Maitland, about 8am on Monday 21 September 2026.
When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold concerns for Stephen’s welfare, as his disappearance is out of character.
Stephen is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of slim build, with brown hair.
He is known to frequent the East Maitland, Maitalnd and Stroud areas.
Stephen may also be driving a grey 2019 Isuzu MU-X with NSW registration plates HANK5.
