Police appeal to locate man missing from Eastwood

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Eastwood.

Young Soo Song, aged 81, was last seen leaving the Eastwood Community Centre Hall on Shaftsbury Road, Eastwood, about 12pm today (Friday 18 August 2023).

When he failed to return and was unable to be contacted, he was reported to officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Young’s welfare due to him having a medical condition, not being fluent in English and living with dementia.

Young is described as being of Asian appearance, of a slim build, about 170cm tall, brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a white buttoned shirt, dark brown pants, blue shoes, navy blue jacket, grey hat and black glasses.

Young is known to frequent the Eastwood and Ryde areas.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Ryde police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
