Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Kogarah 2 July

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s south.

John Wilks, aged 79, was last seen in Warialda Street, Kogarah on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to St George Police Area Command were contacted at 5pm yesterday (Wednesday 1 July 2026) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of medium build, with grey hair and blue eyes.

He is known to frequent the Kogarah area.
