Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s south.
Cecil Paitai, aged 68, was last seen on Redfern Street, Redfern, about 4.30pm yesterday (Friday 28 August 2026).
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police hold concerns for Cecil’s welfare as he lives with dementia.
Cecil is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build with shoulder-length grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey and black jacket, a lanyard with keys and holding a ukulele.
Cecil is known to frequent the Redfern and Waterloo areas.
