Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Rooty Hill 17 March

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney’s west.

Ratu Nadru, aged 69, was last seen leaving a home on Railway Street, Rooty Hill, about 10.30am on Monday 4 March 2024.

When he failed to return and could not be located or contacted, officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command were notified today (Sunday 17 March 2024) and have now commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Ratu lives with dementia and concerns are held for his welfare.

Ratu is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 150cm to 160cm tall, of a medium build, with grey hair and brown eyes.

Ratu is known to utilise the public transport network and frequent the Punchbowl area and police have since received information he attended the Mirage Hotel on Punchbowl Road, Punchbowl on Friday 8 March 2024.

At the time he was wearing grey tracksuit pants and beige ‘Timberland’ boots.
