Police appeal to locate man missing from South Sydney 6 May

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the South Sydney area.

Jose Peralta, 79, was last seen at a residence on Middlemiss Street, Mascot, about 8.30pm yesterday (Friday 5 May 2023).

When he failed to return home or make contact with family members, he was reported missing to officers from South Sydney Police Area Command, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to Jose living with dementia.

Jose is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, of a thin build, with grey hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a chequered shirt, grey tracksuit pants and white shoes.

Anyone who may have seen Jose or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact South Sydney Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
