Police appeal to locate man missing from Wollongong 3 September

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing from the Wollongong area.

Leon Tiere, aged 41, was last seen leaving a hospital on Fairy Avenue, Fairy Meadow, about 10pm on Wednesday 30 August 2023.

When he could not be located, officers from Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to this being out of character.

Leon is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, between 180 – 185cm tall, large build, black hair and brown eyes.

He may driving a blue Mazda Station Wagon with NSW registration CJG1GQ.

Leon is known to frequent the Wollongong, Fairy Meadows and Minchinbury areas.
