Police appeal to locate woman missing from Matraville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the Eastern Suburbs.

Yvonne Peck, aged 74, was last seen leaving a home on Hunter Avenue, Matraville, about 1.30pm today (Saturday 7 October 2023), to go for a walk.

When she failed to return and could not be located, officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Yvonne lives with dementia and concerns are held for her welfare.

Yvonne is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm to 160cm tall, of a thin build with short grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black pants – as pictured – dark coloured shoes and carrying a purple shoulder bag.

Yvonne is known to go on long walks and has previously been located in the Mascot, Daceyville, Randwick and Surry Hills areas.

Anyone who sees Yvonne or has any information of her whereabouts, is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
