Police are investigating a two vehicle collision in Merbein South this morning which claimed the life of a woman.
It appears the woman was driving west on Oak Avenue when her vehicle collided with a utility travelling south on the Sturt Highway just before 8am.
The woman and sole occupant died at the scene.
The male driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.
The Sturt Highway remains closed at Warner Avenue and Ash Avenue while emergency services attend to the scene.
