Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in Mount Evelyn.
A male pedestrian has been struck by a car on Lilydale-Monbulk Road just after 6.30pm.
The yet to be identified male has died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle has stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.
