Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Burwood East where a male motorcyclist lost his life this afternoon.
A car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Middleborough Road and Burwood Highway about 2.30pm.
The male rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the car stopped at the scene and was arrested a short time later.
The 18-year-old man is assisting police with their enquiries.
