Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Port Fairy this evening.
It is believed a car and an empty livestock truck collided on the Princes Highway just before 6pm.
The female driver and sole occupant of the car, died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the truck was not injured and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
