Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Burnley this afternoon.
Investigators have been told a car crashed into a pole near the intersection of Barkly Avenue and Adam Street about 2.45pm.
A male passenger, believed to be in his 30s, died at the scene.
The male driver, also believed to be in his 30s, has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Detectives from Major Collision are en route to the scene.
