Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash At Coober Pedy

A man has died after a crash at Coober Pedy on Thursday.

About 4.15 pm on Thursday 25 June, police were called to Post Office Hill Road after reports of a Toyota station wagon crashing into a mobility scooter.

The man riding the mobility scooter, an 84-year-old local, was taken to hospital in a serious condition however succumbed to his injuries on Saturday 27 June.

Major Crash officers are examining the circumstances of the collision.

Road closures were in place but have since reopened.

The man’s death is the 56th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
