Police are responding to fatal crash at Horsham

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Horsham this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Stawell Road to reports of a three-vehicle collision about 2.40pm on 8 October.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined but investigators have been told a cement truck was travelling north towards the intersection of Williams Road when it collided into the rear of an SUV which in turn collided with a utility.

A woman, who was travelling in the SUV and is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

Three other female occupants of that vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The female driver and sole occupant of the utility was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 52-year-old Horsham man, is assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward.
