A 65-year-old woman from Crayfish Creek has sadly died as a result of a two-car crash on the Bass Highway at Hellyer.
The crash occurred at around 3.30pm between a white Holden Rodeo utility and a blue Land Rover Freelander.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Land Rover sustained serious injuries and was transported to the North West Regional Hospital, at Burnie and is currently receiving treatment. The three passengers of the Land Rover all received injuries requiring transport to NWRH by Ambulance and are currently in a stable condition.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and seek information from members of the public who may have seen the vehicles in the area at the time, witnessed the crash, or who may have relevant dash cam footage to contact 131444.
