Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash – Berrimah 3 September

Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash in Berrimah overnight.

At around 9:30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a white Toyota Hilux had struck a male pedestrian as he crossed Berrimah Road between the cross-intersection Moo street and Dennis Court.

The driver remained at the scene following the crash. He tested negative to drugs and alcohol.

Police and St John Ambulance attended and commenced resuscitation efforts; however, the man was declared deceased at the scene.

A crime scene was established, and Berrimah Road was closed overnight while detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit examined the scene. The road has since been reopened.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing, including the formal identification of the deceased.
